All commercial drivers must meet minimum medical standards established by federal and state rules and regulations. The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio offers Provisional Medical Certification for eligible intrastate (Ohio driving only) drivers who are unable to pass their USDOT required physical examination.
The medical waiver and CDL license must be carried at all times when operating a commercial motor vehicle.
